Hi!
My name is Carol Nix and Shelby is my dalmatian!
I am a certified Speech and Language Pathologist
who has worked in preschools and elementary schools for 10 years. I
attained a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 1986
and a Master of Science in Clinical Speech Pathology in 1991. I received
my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Hearing
Association in February, 1992.
I
designed Shelby the Speech Dog specifically
for this site. The real Shelby and her brother Dallas are very important
members of our family. They were born in April, 1995 from the same litter.
Both are AKC registered dalmatians and are
great pets. Shelby and Dallas are loving, intelligent and energetic dogs!
Our
major focus is to help parents learn age appropriate language
and sounds for their children. It is not to evaluate, diagnose or
provide any kind of treatment. If you have concerns about your child's
speech, please contact a certified
Speech Language Pathologist.
